  How do I do this? Sportscenter / Mark Val.

  I always see this effect in ESPNs Sportcenter and Mark Val has it in his demo reel. How do I acheive this effect of rotating rings?

  

  I was almost able to simulate it in Zaxwerks ProAnimator using a series of C’s and O’s but I couldn’t set keyframes to animate their rotation individually.

  Any and all help appreciated.

  Depends which 3D package you use, but in C4D it’s extremely easy. Use the ‘ring’ primitive. Set the radius, thickness, angle (how much of the ring 360 or less) and that’s it.

  I knew I should have spent more time in C4D. Do you know of any good tutorials for AE users completely new to C4D? I’m using release 9.
