  DOS command prompt effect

  Hey FCPX community!

  I need to create an extended, multi-line DOS prompt-like effect that looks like lines are being entered from the top of the screen, going down, until the frame is full, then all the text gets pushed upward as each new line is entered. This will go on for 30-40 lines, with the earliest lines leaving through the top of the frame.

  I can think of several tedious ways to do this, but I was hoping someone might know of a good plugin that automates the animation. I’ve searched in all my usual repositories.

  It’s easy to find a plugin that can create a flashing cursor and typing effect for a single line, but I don’t want to manually animate the scrolling.

  I thought I combed their entire catalog for it yesterday, but maybe I missed it. Any idea what they call it?

  There’s a free online fake DOS command prompt thing called hacker typer or something like that: I used it for some stuff about computer viruses, and it does what you need, for free, just screen grab it off your web browser.
