Which would you prefer for video and why? Bad/good for beginners? Videographer offered to sell…mostly used for recording vlogs and instructional videos, etc. Client is a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on aesthetics and beauty/health. Each is being sold for $600. Thanks SO much!!

(Sep 2016) The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500/FZ2000 is a well-designed enthusiast bridge camera focused on video, and it offers capture tools that you won’t find on any other camera in its class. 4K video quality is excellent, though there’s a substantial crop factor, essentially knocking out the wide end of the lens. Still image quality is decent, though it’s hampered by a so-so lens and JPEG engine that could use a tune-up. If you’re a videophile then it’s a top choice. If not, there are cheaper options out there.

(Apr 2014) Its 1080p footage is the cleanest, most detailed we’ve yet seen, with virtually no moiré and often jaw-dropping low-light performance. Some of the low light advantage is undercut if you need to stop-down to achieve sufficient depth-of-field but, unlike smaller sensor systems, you have the choice over whether to do this or whether to embrace the shallow-depth-of-field and low light capabilities.
