Proxy sizing question
Hello.
I have a question on proxies in AE. My Footage is 4K (Sony FS7) and I made 720p Prores Proxy proxies for faster working in AE.
Now: If i relink from the 720p proxies to the 4K footage the sizing in my AE composition is changing.
Is it possible to relink the to the 4K footage without changing the sizing?Thank you for your help.

If you use Ae’s proxy feature [link] (instead of just replacing footage), Ae will understand and track the correct original sizing.

I totally forgot about this feature. This is nice!
Just to make sure:
I worked with the proxies in AE and want to relink to the 4K full quality files. So I just “set proxy” and link to the 4K full quality files and have to render with the “new 4K full quality proxies” …? -

I don’t think this will work the way you want. Ae thinks the files are supposed to be 720p and will scale the 4K full-quality “proxies” down accordingly. You should have started with the full resolution to use the proxy feature.
Perhaps you can use the Scale Composition script, then reconnect your footage, then re-adjust the scale.
