  Self -Resizing Text Background

  Hi everyone!

  I’m stuck with doing what at first glance can seem an easy thing. I want to do these self-resizing text backgrounds and animate them like it’s done in this template (starting from the 00:02).

  You see, these plain rectangles behind text. I would ise sourceRectAtTime(), but it is not working with left- or right-aligned text. So I used the technique from Mikey’s tutorialinvolving box blur and curves. It’s actually a great and simple way to make a plain text background:

  However, I have troubles with animating this text. If I animate text opacity, the letters appear, but the text background stays the same despite of any text animation.

  May be I could use someone’s piece of advise to overcome this problem, please? Or you know another way for making these text backgrounds that resize themselves along with the text?
