  RE: hi, could anybody know how to import AI file to AE2015 ,(choose layer or merged layer)?

  hi, should any body know how to import Ai file by choose layer , I can’ t found this function in AE2015, is it canceled ? thank you very much!

  That option is still available in CC2015.

  Make sure your AI file actually has layers, not sublayers.

  When importing the AI file into AE, you should get a popup box that allows you to choose how to import the file. Make sure you choose “Footage”, then you should be able to select the layer you want to import.
