  After Effects: Convert Audio To Keyframes with frequency?

  Hi,

  I would like to be able to convert an audio track to keyframes with a certain frequency specified. (E.G. 50 Hz). From what I’ve seen, this is not possible; however, I would like to confirm this.

  Hi Erik. I’m not aware that you can do this with standard AE, however I suspect you may be able to do it with the RedGiant Soundkeys program in AE. Might be worth a look?

  If you edit the sound clip in something like Audition to isolate the frequencies you’d like AE to respond to (and save it as a different name), you can use the convert audio to keyframes feature inside AE to pull data from that new sound file.

  Granted, Sound Keys is a much faster way to do it, but if you don’t already have it and don’t want to spend money, you can still do it with native Adobe tools.
