    Do you mean the grid at 1:17?

    Yes, Form will do it. You need to use Form’s Layer Map feature. This allows you to use a separate layer as a gradient map which influences the size of the Form particles.

    Further to what exactly Walter has suggested here, you may find some really useful tutorials on Redgiant’s website. Browse through Harry Frank’s tuts and you will get a better idea how to accomplish this. Best of luck.

    Yes, Form works for this. Use a Layer map for Size. The main question is how to create that wave layer map, which I did here with polar coordinates.

    It’s not a very well-known plugin for some reason, but seems pretty powerful. It’s been used on several big-budget films. I’ve only used version 1, but Nodes 2 appears to have a lot of added features that make it more competitive with Plexus or Form in addition to its unique tools.
