  After Effects Numeric Fields as a Calculator

  Since version 2015.3 the calculator when used in numerical fields does not work.

  Why have adobe removed this function.

  Does anyone know?

  It’s still there and working correctly in 2015.3. Perhaps you should try resetting your preferences? Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) while Ae is starting.

  I have noticed the same issue (Ae 13.8, OS X 10.11.5).

  It’s seems to be specifically the size attribute (comp size or solid size). layer attributes, like position, scale etc, behave normally.

  I did try to rebuild the preference file, but no effect…. I’m thinking it’s just a bug.

  Well, how about that. It seems to be any dialog box. I’ve filed a bug report; please consider filing one also.

  The bug only happens in dialog boxes. It still works in properties.
  Also, if you press = in the dialog boxes it’ll make it work too (in most cases).
