  Falling objects animated from still images

  Hi everyone!

  I have a certain experience with AE, worked with it mostly for color grading simple things and I am now stuck with an animation challenge.

  I am basically aiming at animating an object falling into a scene by using multiple photographs shot from that object, always with the same angle.

  That means: the video is a short, still frame, with a scene and objects falling into it.

  So it’s about combining different perspectives of the same object and animate it in a movement of fall (straight fall), no bounce but certainly a motion blur.

  What would be the best way to combine the different perspectives of the same object in a convincing way? I assume I might need AE + photoshop.

  Anyone has experience with this?

  When you say different perspectives of the object, I’m guessing that you want it to appear to tumble as it falls? If so, assemble your stills in one comp, (each one lasting a frame or 2) and then use that comp as your falling object in another comp.
