Testing:Accusonus Era 5 Bundle vs Izotope RX 8 Audio Repair Plugin Premiere 14.4
I have briefly tested Accusonus Era 5 Bundle (ERA_Bundle_v5.0.00-WIN) vs Izotope RX 8 Audio Repair Advanced Plugins – Premiere Pro 14.4 2020
Era 5 has got very impressive interface and used few functions and happy with it .(I was also testing/trying the RX8 plugins on some audio clips until decided to (pre) render the timeline (ProRes) .
Premiere crashed at all my attempts.
Assuming the problem was with Premiere, I cleaned appdata & audio video previews, and reset everything with the premiere.

I then the disabled the RX 8 plugin in the premiere

successfully restarted the premiere projectI like the Era 5 Audio Clean up assistant interface very much where Izotope RX plugin doesn’t seem to have one
unless you want to start the standalone application where it exists and tests the audio and tells you what portions need to be fixed – very impressive.if it does offer the same assistant in the plugin version that would be comparatively better
According to some Era 5 review many problems not being fixed
– The Master bypass switch of Audio Clean-Up Assistant doesn’t compensate for the latency automatically. Workaround: Set a fixed latency value if your host supports it.
– The step of the Processing Response parameter of Reverb Remover Pro is reported to the host automation as an integer instead of a decimal.
– Audio issue when loading Voice Deepener as a multi-mono plug-in on a stereo track in Pro Tools. Prefer multichannel plug-in instead.
– [Noise Remover Pro/Reverb Remover Pro] Linking a band affects the available processing range of the main knob until you unlink the band. Might cause problem with the automation.
– [Noise Remover Pro/Reverb Remover Pro/De-Esser Pro] The preset menu isn’t centered compared to the preset button.
– Buggy behavior with some editable labels of De-Esser Pro controls.
– There’s an overlap between the screen overlay of Licenser and Voice autoEQ. Simply sign-in and everything will return to normal.
– [GarageBand/Audio Clean-Up Assistant] A system overload popup may appear when changing presets or when loading an ERA tool into a slot.
[Premiere Pro 2020 / AudioUnit only] The output of Voice Leveler is not correct. Use the VST format instead.
And perhaps many more including the one I have : -premiere crash
I would like very much to use both,

You didn’t mention Mac or Windows. I have the first gen ERA bundle, and have demoed RX8. Both have worked without any crashing on my MacPro7,1 running 10.15.6 and 10.15.7.
I love the simplicity of the ERA effects, and they mostly work very well. I demoed RX8 only to try out the noise reducer, and am unimpressed with the results, given the price.
I’m sorry that ERA went to subscription, but their marketing materials claim there’s a perpetual license option, which is almost as expensive as RX8. I like that iZotope is perpetual, but again, the price seems out of line.
I’m still looking for the holy grail of noise reduction without shelling out $5K or whatever it is for CEDAR, which doesn’t have a demo option. I might even pay the ransom if I KNEW it was able to do magic on production tracks with wind noise and other high noise to signal problems.
I’ve also tried Audionamix Instant Dialog Cleaner, which is probably the best, but doesn’t work at 48 KHz without adding clicks to the audio. I complained about this well over a year ago, and they haven’t done anything to fix it. They could only suggest working at 44.1 KHz. It’s weird they sell this as a professional post production product when almost all pros record and distribute audio at 48 KHz.

I am glad it has worked for you. But then again I don’t know what version of ERA you have used ( i.e. You did not mention what version of ERA 5 you have used: 5.00.00 or 5.0.30.
By the way, I said (ERA_Bundle_v5.0.00-WIN) which wasn’t so clear I should have.
WIN is the windows version.
Please do expand on the Era 5 experience since I couldn’t get to the the rendered out stage
what components you have tested that work better etc?pity that Audionamix is not fixing what is needed

Sorry, Ian, I totally missed the “WIN” part of your post.
My Noise Reducer version is 4.1.10. I had to search for that. I didn’t know what version I have off the top of my head. I apologize for not knowing what version I have, too. I’ve gotten no indication from Accusonus that the version 5 effects have been updated or features added, just that the bundle has more effects now.I’m interested in their Voice Deepener product, but not at the cost. The bundle I have is a perpetual license, and working well enough. I think I paid $49 for it, which was well worth it. Now that they’ve gone uptown, they don’t seem like such a bargain.
Since I don’t have V5, I can’t expand on the ERA 5 experience.
I also have Zynaptic Unveil for reverb removal, and UnFilter for comb filtering removal, which works as well as de-reverbing for many room sound reduction situations. The Zynaptic effects were the only game in town when I seem to recall buying them at $400 each. The prices have gone down slightly in light of competition, but I needed them for a project. Some times, the ERA Dereverb works better. I’ve tried the Premiere reverb removal, but the “Essential Audio” features are pretty unessential to me. I can see how they would be useful for people who don’t buy third-party products. Their music under VO Ducking feature is a joke, and I’d far rather they implement a side-chain feature for their and third party compressor/limiters.
The Voice Leveler is good, but my preferred compressor for voice tracks is PSP Vintage Warmer.
I suppose you need to wait for somebody else to pipe up about the V5 Bundle.

I hope the Era 5 fixes the issues with the next update.
I have also noticed Izotope RX8 has got many new ways for specific type of noise.
Then again, I sometimes find better, simpler solutions on youtube such as for wind noise
I am fairly impressed with the wind noise solutions I could not do it with RX8 or Era 5 to my surprise: Very impressive results I have by just using the high pass filter in premiere as mentioned in the below youtube videos titled:-How to Remove Wind Noise in Premiere Pro
