Time to drop the "X" from the Final Cut Pro forum?
Quite a few Facebook groups have been asked that question since 10.5 was launched last week. I know of one group that decided it was time to change the name. ? It has been a bit of time since Apple went from Mac OS X to just Mac OS well ahead of the Big Sur launch which is the first of the 11 series. What say you?
EDIT: Decided to add a bonus point question. What do you think of the timing of Resolve 17 release from Blackmagic Design right before the Apple summit? Things are very interesting considering that Resolve 16.3, 17 and 17.1 are currently in beta status. It was like BMD had a strategy that no one saw coming.

No strong opinion on question 1 other than possible confusion with the old Final Cut Pro Legacy forum which is clearly labelled legacy but might trip some up.
Blackmagic in a normal year would have gone to NAB with Ursa Mini 12k and Resolve 17. It would have really been beta and by now they would have stacked on lots of point upgrades so it would be much the same only less actual beta sorry stories. BM obviously care more about Apple than vice versa and they knew all about the ARM processors as they already have a version of 17 for them. I think BM are on their own trajectory of announcing hardware and software these days. They might have wondered if FCP10.5 was going to be a significant release so sought to steal some thunder by going earlier but frankly they probably felt it was more important to get this version out in 2020 before it gets lost in Black Friday and Christmas.
Increasingly I feel BM are just going to play their own game and probably feel far less pressure to dance around Apple, Adobe or Avid.
