  Premiere Pro R3D import – multiple files of same clip

  Hello, I understand that R3D Files are broken up into 4GB segments, but I was under the impression Premiere would display them as one file once imported. I have imported many large 5K files into my timeline and some of them still show multiple thumbnails. How can I get around this as it’s very messy.

  5K Dragon footage, RAW. Premiere Pro CC latest version.

  How are you importing them?

  Mac or PC and did you download the RED support installer?

  From within Premiere, go to Media Browser to import your files. This allows Premiere to stitch all associated files together. If you try to do file/import or drag and drop it bypasses this
