  layer/shape thickness like this video

  First of all, thank you guys for responding to my posts so quickly and being so helpful. Theres this projection mapping video i’ve attached. i’m talking about the first effect where squares rotate and change textures. but I cant seem to add thickness to my layers . Any idea how they achieved this?

  Not easy to achieve in AE alone, you’re gonna end up with a gazillion layers. Cinema 4D or Element 3D would be a better approach.
