  C4D Plane Cut Tool Issue

  Hi all, I’m pretty new to cinema 4D and have been watching some animation tutorials. I am currently trying to create a slice animation and am using this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dgwcOmvPTw&list=PLhw3dM6mDkfeqc3xEs_3-9Q9c13zLYHYd&index=243 , however at about 1min30sec in he uses the plane cut tool, and for some reason it won’t work on my model. I have attached some images, it allows me to insert the lines but the cut just doesn’t apply unless I have ‘Connect Cut Edges’ ticked. Yet when I do this, as the picture shows, the holes in my logo are filled and not all the cuts appear. Does anyone know a way around this, or what I am doing wrong?

  With the plane cut tool, pressing Esc is the command to apply the cut. Does that do it for you?
