  QNAP lost files

  Hi guys; Hoping Bob has seen this. I had issues with my RAID. I reformatted the entire RAID and created new shared folders. I copied everything to the folders from my backups. I even worked on a project off the RAID.

  This morning I connected to the QNAP and the Projects folder is empty except for the Recycle bin. Whoops. When I left last night it was all there but it did something overnight to delete everything.

  I found this post, but not sure if this applies to me or where the folders they mention are:

  Any thoughts on where to look? The RAID shows that the space for the files is used but the files are invisible. They are somewhere but where?

  Ok, full disclosure….I renamed the shared folder so it updated the new name to the last saved snapshot which was blank. Renamed it back and all the files are back!

  Whew.

  Disaster averted.
