  Change image to 0’s and 1’s (ascii art look-a-like)

  Hi there,

  I am trying to animate a picture like so :

  

  Probably should have about 10 characters ranging for thin to thick.

  I would guess image > hue saturation make black and white > somehow use the luminance to make the whites a thin character and the dark areas with thick characters.

  Has anyone done this before?
