Puppet Pin 3D Parenting
Hi!
I am making an animation with some 3D objects that needs a puppet tool to animate. I’ll try to put it in a simple way:
I have two layers. One layer is a 3D null and its position is somewhere in the 3D space. Second layer is my 3d object that has a puppet pins added to it.
So both layers are 3D and the object is parented to the null. Of course the puppet pins positions are only 2D but it’s generally not a problem since they work fine. The problem starts when I want to fine tune the motion paths of the puppet pins. Normally they would be right where the pins are moving. But in this case, because of the parenting, the motion paths are waaaay offset (the comp size is 5000×4000 and they are not even in the comp window). So as you can imagine it makes my work a bit uncomforable. Is there a way to put them in place? I cannot precomp the object since it has to be in the same compositions with other objects which it is related too (I tried, doesn’t work).
