  How do i rotate an image or text on its axis

  Im new to After Effects as a programme and was wondering how to rotate and image or text on its axis in order to animate the text or image. i have been importing from photoshop and have only been able to rotate the image as you would normally. is there an easier way about this? any help would be much appriciated

  A layer will rotate around its anchor point. You can move the anchor point to wherever you like, including to a layer’s edge.
