  • Dark Knight Cell-Phone Imaging System – with after effects?

    Hi
You may recall in the Dark Knight, Batman locates the Joker using his cell phone x-ray/thermal imaging system. It allows him to see through the building, which is illustrated using glowing blue strokes along the edges of walls etc.

Can anyone advice on how the effect could be re-created? I guess i need to render out wireframes in Maya/Max, but would i also render the glowing lines or would this part be done in AE?

I have been hunting for screen shots of this particular scene in the film but cannot find them anywhere so hoping someone can recall the bit im on about!

    Any suggestions really appreciated!

Have you tried the Find Edges effect? Follow it up with an invert effect and you might be close to what you want already.
