How do you make a fairy dust effect using the shatter effect?

I learned it once and forgot how to do it. As I try again, I can’t get it to work right. If anybody could help that would be great. Thanks!

There should be a “sand” tutorial using Shatter on the COW. It should give you an idea.

… but Fairy Dust is probably better done with Particle Playground or one of 6.5’s particle effects or Trapcode’s Particular, or Boris, or …

Once you get the Shatter part down you can do tweaks, like Scatter (for smaller particle) and glow – my two favs, change the color, or whatever looks good to you.

    Hey,

In the plug-in DigiEffects Delirium, there’s an effect called “Fairy Dust” that’s awesome too! 🙂
