  • KiPro Mini how many channels of audio can it record

    I’m considering a KiPro mini for use with recording the HD-SDI output of an AF100. Can the KiPro Mini simultaneously record all of the audio channels being sent out of the AF100 over the SDI, as well as the 2 XLR inputs on the KiPro Mini unit itself?

    If the mini is anything like the big Ki Pro, you can only recored wither digital or analog audio, and not both. I am sure the mini will handle the 2-4 audio channels that the af100 will send.

    According to the specs, it will record 8 channels embedded:

    But it wil not record both. It’s either the embeded SDI audio or the XLR’s

    If the mini is anything like the big Ki Pro, you can only record either digital or analog audio, but not both.
