  Trouble with SD Widescreen

  First let me say what a wonderful board the Xena LHe is. Elegant interface and great build quality…. I’ve only had it set up for a week, but it “feels” tremendously stable and transparent, particularly in HD. My post production company has seen a lot of gear come and go in 30 years, and (along with Ampex ADO 100) XENA is something I think we are going to appreciate highly.

  However we do have a problem, which I am presuming may be related to the previous post regarding 10bit transitions and the new v2 software… tell me if I am wrong.

  We have captured footage from DigiBeta in PAL Widescreen, and it plays back fine… but whenever I apply a transition to it, it reverts to 4:3 format (all squished up)… only for the duration of the transition itself though. The Widescreen clip also reverts to a 4:3 Aspect Ratio by applying any effect to it, also!

  I have tried the RGB ColorSpace workaround (that did work with my HD footage… no crashes there now), but it doesn’t solve my problem with this Aspect Ratio change during the clip in SD.

  Anyone else have this problem?

  This is a known issue, and is set to have the fix included in our soon to be released 2.0.1 software (perhaps end of the week).
