  io4k Audio Playback Issues

  Hey Guys!

  Long time lurker, first time poster. I am wondering if anyone else is having an issue that I am experiencing with the io4k? I am getting an intermittent issue with audio playback in Final Cut Pro 7.0.3. After I pause playback, it will play the last 1-2 seconds of audio again. I’ve confirmed that it doesn’t happen when I switch over to line out playback. I’ve also tried both versions of the firmware.

  Here is my specs:

  Mac Pro (Late 2013)
  • 3.0GHz 8-core with 25MB of L3 cache
  • 64GB (4x16GB) of 1866MHz DDR3 ECC
  • 512GB PCIe-based flash storage

  AJA io4k 10.5.1
  Final Cut Pro 7.0.3
  Mac OSX 10.9.2

  Any help would be great. I’ve submitted a ticket with AJA but haven’t heard anything back.

  Not sure the Io4K is fully compatible with FCP 7. Since it’s older, discontinued software, AJA might not be testing it fully. But wait on AJA for that answer.

  I heard back from AJA. Apparently, it’s an issue they’re aware of and are working on a fix for it.
