Interlacing Artifacts in Legacy Project
I’m working on a project shot in 1991. The original footage is Hi8 with timecode, shot with hi end broadcast hi8 cameras. I captured using ProRes 525. When I play the footage and when I look at it in the capture window I can see some but not much interlacing. Actually looks pretty good. I took a look at the captured footage with the Quicktime Player, looked very good. When I play it back in the ProRes timeline and look at my JVC studio monitor the interlacing looks extremely pronounced. Still frames look good but as soon as I play the interlacing comes back. I’m wondering if its something in the way my IOHD/Control Panel is setup or my monitor (it is set to 525i SD). Any ideas?
