I am trying to build something to make blu ray disc that will play on regular players. It will be just small clips (>20min) no need for menus. I want to ingest the footage via hd-sdi on a io express hopefully using aja machina. What software would be able to take the machina avi’s and put them into a bluray? Also I have a kipro, i understand i need the macdrive 8 to be able to see the prores files again is there anything that will take those into a bluray? Thanks

It works on both codecs? Is there a specific setting on machina?

[Claudio Araoz] “It works on both codecs?”

If you have Quicktime installed on your PC, you should be able to read ProRes files. The AVi file should be just fine if your OS can see it.

As far as a specific codec, that would be up to you in terms of what your system can handle and quality you want.
