October 30, 2008 at 2:58 pmMake sure your component input is switched over to YUV and is set to Betacam levels (as opposed to SMPTE). Click on the component input on the control panel and it should let you change away.

October 31, 2008 at 2:04 amcan you use these same cables to plug your Beta component signal directly into the component input of your TV monitor ? This will tell us if you have a problem with your Beta VTR or TV monitor (or cables).
ALSO, go to the I/O HD Control Panel, click the CONTROL tab, and select TEST PATTERN, color bars –
do you see good color bars, or do they look purple ?Bob Zelin

October 31, 2008 at 8:31 amThat’s an idea, I’ll check that right away, maybe the
cable’s are not doing what they supposed to do
My client monitor works ok and I have good color bars
It’s the color bars from the tape that are purple(and
the images)Thanks,

October 31, 2008 at 1:25 pmThe Beta input might be set to RGB instead of YUV, what is the model of Beta deck you are using?
