    Hello All,

A question for folks using the Tascam FW-1082.

I’ve got a Tascam FW-1082 which I am using to feed the Io. I am taking the S/PDIF out of the FW-1082, running that through a Hosa CDL-313, which converts S/PDIF to AES and running that into the Io. The issue I am having is that I can’t get a signal out of the S/PDIF unless I switch the Coaxial output to Analog L-R in the FW-1082 manager software. At that point I can raise the level, however, that is accomplished by raising the volume control on the board and my speakers are blaring.

FWIW I did run the S/PDIF out to a Sony DAT’s coaxial in and get the same results as I found in the Io.

Is this the same scenerio others are finding or are you getting solid signals when the Coaxial output setting is set to S/PDIF 1-2? I called Tascam and spoke to someone. They couldn’t answer me immediately and said they’d call or emailback. I’m still waiting.

Maybe I’m not correct in my thinking about how the output of the mixer works.

    Any insight is much appreciated.

    Jon
