  Itunes out through IO

  Hello,
  This is not a very important question but… I have two systems one Kona2 and the other IO with the Kona when I’m doing graphics I can output music to the powered speakers by changing the output in the Apple sound Pref. I can’t seem to do this with the IO even though it shows up in the sound menu. The only difference is the Kona outputs AES to a Yamaha board and the IO outputs analogue to a mackie. What did I miss????

  I believe the drivers have to be specifically written/updated to work with each individual application to output through the Io. I doubt we’ll see support for iTunes anytime soon. However, you can just plug an analog stereo cable into the back of your Mac to go out to your Mackie and then to your powered speakers(that’s what I do), or use the digital out as needed.
