    Hi guys,

Hopefully this is the right forum for this. I was curious if anyone knew any good resources for creating some good motion graphics. Things like, books and workshops. What I’m finding is that there a lot of books explaining things like, “how to use motion graphics app 1” but not much on the creative end, like what makes for good motion graphics. I’m decent on the app side of things so the more technical books/resources don’t interest me. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for listening.

The index series by Jim Krause is your best bet. I think you can pick up most of them used on amazon. Make sure to get the color index. I use this book almost every day

Awesome! I am checking out the boxed set. These books seem to be exactly what I’ve been looking for, thanks!

I would suggest looking into design books. Focus on typography and general design books that talk abotu the principles. Everything that is done well in Mograph follows these principles and exhibits beautiful type.

    Good type books:

    Stop stealing sheep by Spiekermann
Designing with Type by Craig and Bevington

    Good design books:

    Design Basics by Laure
Graphic Design: The New Basics by Lupton
