  Video freezes & skips during capture

  The video that I capture thru my AJA Io LA freezes a few frames every couple of seconds. I’m running FCP HD 4.5 on a Dual GHz Power PC G5, memory 2GB DDR SDRAM. It dosen’t seem to be dropping frames (no warning comes up) I have several machines I can rout to the AJA & the video still “skipped frames”. I have no problem capturing thru my XL2/NTSC Firewire Basic

  you do not specify what drive array you are using, nor do you specify what resolution you are working at. If you are trying to capture 10bit uncompressed from a Beta VTR on your internal drive, this will absolutely happen!
