Our AE render farm used to work perfect. Until we upgraded our XServe to Tiger. Now, any 10.4 machine that tries to write an image sequence to the server using AE6.5 will crash on what seems like random intervals. The error says this “After Effects error: Photoshop file format error — write permissions problem (-61). (45 :: 35)”

It only happens when writing image sequences.

It happens when you use a 10.4 machine as a client on the render farm as well as a regular render if you are rendering to the 10.4 server.

    10.3 machines can render fine.

10.4 machines can render to their desktops fine.

Our productivity has come to a standstill because of this.

Please help if you’ve heard of this.

Adobe blames Apple, Apple blames Adobe, so tech support is not supporting.
