Evening COW— Looking to tap some knowledge.

    12-Core Mac Pro ( 2 x 2.93 GHz) wi/ 128GB RAM

I’m running FCP 7.0.3 with the AJA Kona 3 & BOB, monitoring with the Flanders LM-2461W.

The Kona Video Playback settings all seem to be 720 x 486; D1—- while the client’s footage & sequence are 720 x 480; DV.

When I port the sequence over to Color for the grade, the sequence & material play just fine on the Flanders monitor— but in the FCP timeline, no dice. No Video playback.

Any suggestions on what the proper A/V Settings & Video Playback should be?

I’ve had the sequence set to

    720 x 480 NTSC DV (3:2)
    NTSC – CCIR 601
    29.97

    Apple ProRes (HQ)

The AJA Kona Control Panel’s set to 525i for Primary & Secondary and it’s an SDI feed, which, again, works just fine with this material when inside of Color. Just not within FCP.

Am I missing a Kona Easy Setup?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry for deviating from the original question, but I thought Mac Pros could only take 96gb when running Mac OS? How did you manage to have the system see the whole 128gb?
