I am experiencing random dropped frames; this occurs while playing in the timeline and edit to tape.
By random, I mean, I can play sequences and edit to tapes for hours without problems; then the same sequence will throw up drop frames every few minutes, then go back to no dropped frames.
I have tried turning off mirroring to desktop while editing to tape and turning off External Video while editing; neither seem to make a difference.
I am playing in Safe RT, High-Playback Video Quality, and Full-Playback Frame Rate.
    I am working in a ProRes422 1920×1080 29.97 sequence with a mixture of ProRes422, ProRes444, and XDCAM 422 1080i 50Mb, my sequences have a TRT of 00;30;40;00.
For troubleshooting I have tried all ProRes422 & ProRes444 footage in a ProRes422 sequence, and I did not notice a difference.
Has anyone else ran into this kind of problem with the below versions and cards?

    MacPro 2×3.2GHz quad
    10.6.8
    8GB ram
    GeForce 8800GT
    FCP 7.0.3
    QT 10.0
    Kona3 – 10.1 NDD
Connected to SAN with Read/Write speeds in the 400-500MB/sec (my sequences are pulling ~30MB/sec)
