Outputting Desktop to External Monitor
I recall on previous versions of the Kona you could mirror your desktop on an external monitor. I cannot find the option to do this in the Kona 3G control panel. We have a scenario where someone will be doing a demonstration for our company and we wanted to output the desktop display to our mounted monitor in the room as opposed to having everyone crowd around the Apple Cinema display. The Kona has a component output to the monitor. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? Thanks!

You need the regular drivers and not the NDD drivers.
Then look in the control section and change the dropdown to Macintosh desktop.

Thanks Jeremy! Is there anything I should be concerned with the regular drivers versus the NDD? What is actually the reason they offer 2? We are running 10.6.8 on 2 x 2.93 6-Core Intels with 24GB of RAM.

There was a conflict with the Macintosh desktop display with some graphics cards, and I honestly can’t remember which ones off the top of my head.
If you installed the regular drivers and your computer boots, you’re all good.
If the computer hangs on boot, force shutdown (hold power button) and start in safe mode (hold shift while booting), uninstall the Kona drivers, restart and reinstall the NDD drivers, restart.
No harm is done to your computer in this process.
