MacPro early ’08 Octo-3.2 ghz 8gigs of ram. Running OSX 10.6.4, FCP 7.0.3, Kona LHe – 8.0 NDD

I’ve been experiencing having constant crashes in FCP and error is attributed to the AJAVideoOutput PlugIn. I’ve re-installed the plugin a couple times and i keep getting this crash.
It usually happens (but not always) when scanning over Motion exports in the FCP timeline (exports at ProRes4444, not embedded motion projects.)

Also, for some time now I often get choppy playback if I leave FCP to another program then return to FCP. Playback from the Kona output skips frames and lags behind timeline. Only remedy to this is a restart of the MacPro

    Sorry, I missed that detail.

    I’d call AJA.

    Try an older NDD driver.
Or indeed. Call AJA. They have great support.
