Light streaks 3d between characters or sometihng like that
Hi, im new to the forums as i am at AE, i have a question and i hope someone can help, i cheked a couple question before i asked but i couldn’t find what im looking for..
i cheked Andrew’s tutorial about making light streaks, but i know want them to travel between characters, as seen on Simple plan’s WHEN IM GONE video..
i guess the shots are made with green screen, but i want to know about it from zero, so, what kind of shots i need and then how i make them travel between, and the stuff with that awesome camera traveling.hope you understood me, my english is kind of oxidized for the lack of use.

Probably the easiest thing to do is to shoot all your actors on a green screen, then key out the green and bring them all in as 3d layers. You can then animate your light (emitter) around them in 3d space, going behind, in front, etc and use that light as your path for Particular.

i found out is better to use a null objects as seen on the tutorial Light Streaks 2, null objects seem to work better than lights, working great, thanks for your help

Haven’t watched that specific tutorial but I believe Particular requires it to be a light. I suppose you could parent the light to a null object and go from there. Glad it’s working though!

Lux needs lights, but Particular doesn’t. You can parent the emitter to a null.
