I posted this to an old thread, but realized a lot of people might not see it based on their viewing settings. So:

I have an FCP project where the sequence is 1080p23.98. In the AJA control panel, when this is selected as my “Frame Buffer”, the Secondary (Converted) Format is greyed out. Does this mean I cannot monitor this in SD?

I noticed that only certain formats allow a Secondary Format. So I guess this is true for all of them?

    Thanks!

Correct sir. You need to be working in the “sf” version: 1080sf/23.98

that will downconvert to SD just fine.

OK, that’s what threw me off. It seems regardless that my sequence is 1080p24, I had to go to sf23.98. And you have to make sure all the FCP setting line up perfectly. A lot dominoes, but now it’s working.

    Thanks!
