  Episode Length Change from HD 23.976 to SD 29.97

  Hello all,

  I was wondering who here is delivering SD 29.97 to broadcasters from a 23.976 HD timeline? We are curious about any timecode issues or complications that have come up as we are finding the episodes running longer and timecode cues no longer matching from 23.976 to 29.97 when we output to tape from our 23.976 HD timeline.

  We are using the latest FCP with a Kona LHe card.

  Any help would be great.

  Your 23.976 timeline is non dropframe. Your 29.97 output is probably drop frame. That makes the 23.976 version seem shorter. Shane Ross has a link to a non drop to drop calculator on his blog.
