kona LHe playback delay on SDI
Hi everybody and thanks in advance for your help
I’ve recently upgraded to FCS3 and since then I had a problem with my Kona LHe
The monitor connected to Kona through SDI is 2fr delayed
Of course setting the Frame Offset to 2 I solve the problem but why the value isn’t 0 how it should be?
I’ve uninstalled and installed again Kona 7.0, the slot placement should be ok, and it was before the upgrade (kona on slot3 with the 2nd PCI profile and a dual Fiber card on slot4)
Any idea?MacPro Intel 2×2.66Ghz
Internal RAID0 1TB
Xserve RAID 2TB (temporarely disconnected for repair)
8GB RAM

This is probably the cluprit. Your LCD monitor is taking a few frames to process the video/audio.

I’ve just tried to trash pref and it’s better, but I have the sensation there’s still a frame off (maybe before was more than 2fr, kind of 3 or 4)
I don’t think it’s something related to the LCD cause everything was fine before the upgrade
I can just set the frame offset to 1, but I wonder what’s behind this issue, makes me feel kind of unstable
I also tried to connect a samsung plasma 50″ just to have a bigger view sometimes, but out-of-sync issues persecute me! But this time I think it’s because consumer plasma TVs need some time to upconvert an SD signal, so there’s not much to do. I’ll use it for dvd visions
