  Green frames on unrendered footage.

  Okay, so all unrendered material in FCP is coming out of the Kona card green (similar to 4:4:4 green). All rendered footage looks and play fine. So far I’ve updated the firmware, trashed the FCP prefs, and uninstalled/reinstalled the Kona drivers. I ran the conflict checker and it finds a series of BlackMagic components but when I navigate to the QuickTime components directory there is nothing there. I ran “fiendishthngs” for OS X and it also finds the BlackMagic components but it isn’t smart enough to tell me their location on the machine. I’m positive that if I remove these phantom components it will fix the issue but I can not find them (no thanks to Spotlight).

  FIXED. Was only looking at the components in USER/LIBRARY/QUICKTIME instead of USER/SYSTEM/LIBRARY/QUICKTIME. Found the phantom codec, removed it, and now works.
