    Question for the group.

I want to start using layers in our shows..Aka, create a digital background, and then layover live text and graphics much like they do on award shows for winners.

    How do I do that?

Do I need to export an with a alpha channel?

Do I just create white space where I want the video to be transparent? Whats the best technique.

Often I use a Barco Encore to switch with..

    Thanks guys..

each layer will have it’s own alpha channel. You do not want to cut out places on layers for oter layers as they will then have holes in them as you animate them. Think of these layers as layers of construction paper you are stacking to make one collage.
