  Where to Start

  Hi Guys,
  Greetings to everyone! I’m new to this forum.
  Nine months ago, I got a Kona 3x for my G5 dual 2.7. Took me a while to get the pieces together and now most of them are outdated or old versions, I guess. I use Media100XR-V8.2.3, After Effects 7 in all of my editing but would like to try FCP. I got all the setup ready but have no idea where to start, even how Kona and FCP would work together. Can anybody show me the right direction or where to get tutorials or how to setup the system. Any old forum? I’ll run firewire to start.
  This is what I have right now:
  Apple G5 Dual 2.7 with 8gb ram. OS 10.4.11
  2×20 inch apple display
  Kona 3X version 5
  Kona Junction Box
  Final Cut Studio 5.0.4
  2 modified Rorke enclosure with 5 drive Seagate ST3300007LW (300x5gbx2)
  Atto UL4D
  Sony DVCAM 20 with firewire

  Do you still need to use your media100 system?

  Hi Jeremy,
  I still use the media 100 and I love the system. I use one to edit on location, One installed in my truck for my kids to watch recorded movies, one to record my daughter’s karaoke and 3 in the studio. It went though 4 Mac Os without any problem until now.
  I got the Kona 3x and FCP because I cant use the Media 100 pci card on a G5. I also want to be able to use some plugin filters for the FCP.
