  EX footage playback with Kona LHe?

  Hey all,

  I was wondering if anyone with a Kona LHe has used it to monitor a XDcam EX project?

  Do the plugins with adobe premiere on a mac work the same as FCP? In other words, can you use the card to playback from any project as long as the basics of the format match (1920 X 1080 frame size 29.97 frame rate)?

  I didn’t see any kona presets in the PPR software that were labeled “EX”

  No you don’t- not in FCP either.

  as long as you are using the current Adobe plugin’s for the card you should be able to playout your EX footage as 1080 x your frame rate- 23.98, 24, 25, or 29.97

  Yeah we have in FCP – the Kona to DVCPRO 1080i setting seems to give us a nice playback image.
