  color and kona soooo… slow

  Hi there,

  I have a problem with apple color and Kona 3.

  We have shot a short movie with Sony EX-1. The format is 1080p25. Edited in Final cut and send to color for color correcting. The problem is that color waits about 5-10sec for every cursor change in timeline.
  It’s quite annoying and slow.

  Has anyone had the same problem, and if how to resolve it?

  Hardware is Mac Pro, Kona 3, HdLink & Eizo CG241W.
  Software is Final Cut Studio 2 (with latest upgrades), Kona driver 6.01.

  What codec is your footage currently in? Have you transcoded to ProRes or Uncompressed before sending to Color? If not, the problem may lie in importing XDCAM footage.
