  Help with setup.

  This is the gear I have:
  MacPro Quad Core
  6 G RAM
  Cal Digit HD One 6Tb
  OS 10.5.2
  QT 7.4.5
  FCP6.0.3
  Kona 3
  AJA HD10AVA
  Sony HDR- M15 deck

  I’m trying to digitize HDV 1080i 29.97 material DV, component out to the HD10AVA, with FW for deck control. The AJA Control Panel is showing me 1080i-29.97 in / Frame Buffer is 1080i-29.97-SDI out is 525-29.97. Easy setup is AJA 525 DV.

  I can capture DV clips but it is not downconverting the HD image to 720×480. I do have downconversion set at letterbox.

  Any help would be much appreciated. I have scoured the manual and this forum but haven’t found anything that is making it click for me.

  The Frame Buffer needs to be set on Secondary (525i29.97). The way you have it set the down converting is happening to the video out.
