We just bought a Sony LMD 2450W to use as a color monitor for our FCP system. It’s replacing a Sony PVM 20L5. All running off of a AJA LHE. The PVM was connected to the AJA using an SDI input. It loops back through to our router.

We recently shot a show on P2 at 720P Frame rate of 24p. For some reason we’re not getting an image out of the LHE to the Sony 2450.(we did install the Sdi card in the monitor) Our wish is to be able to monitor the wide screen video on this wide screen Monitor.

We downloaded the latest LHE drivers. The strange thing is we can monitor the video as component out…just not SDI out. Any thoughts? Thanks much.

Change your video output to 720p60 and not 720p23.98

Well, either your monitor/card is busted or you are configuring it wrong.

In FCP, hit control-q and select the proper easy AJA setup for you HD sequence, frame rate and codec.

Then open the kona control panel and make sure that your SDI output (1 or 2) is set to primary.

On your monitor, make sure that you have your SDI input selected to view and that you have the proper HD SDI input attached.

[Greg Ball] “It’s replacing a Sony PVM 20L5.”

What condition is the PVM-20L5 in? Interested in selling it?
