  Best frame rate to uprez Beta SP to 720p or 1080i

  Have only done this once now.
  Beta SP via A500 SDI
  thru Kona 3
  720p 59.94

  Results edited fine in FCPro 6
  but…
  Motion would not play the clip in real time as I needed to offset the speeds (ramps)

  I have a new job coming up that needs every clip ramped once it becomes HD.

  Speed ramps?? Like 150%?

  What I do with SD footage is ingest as 24fps. Have Final Cut strip 3:2 on ingest by capturing on the A frame. Then you can work in a 720/24fps timeline and the Kona with output a clean 59.94 by duplicating frames.
