DVCPRO 720p 23.98 Cross Conversion 23.98 D5
Has anyone done this?
Cross converted DVCPROHD 720p 23.98 to 23.98 D5? I’m using Kona 3, and went round and round with it last night. I’ve cross converted before, but never this exact combination and am running into a wall.
Let me know if you have done this and please include the following.
AJA Control panel format/secondary format settings.
FCP External Video/Sequence/Edit to tape input settings.I’m very familiar with the Kona3 and I seemed to have things working logically, but I could not get the D5 to recognize the signal.

you can do an 720 23.98 to 1080 23.98 but there is not a way to record 720p24 on tape-

I’m well aware of the layback limitations of 720p 23.98. I am trying to layback a 720p 23.98 sequence (dvcproHD) to 23.98 1080psf on a D5.

Primary format = 720p, 23.98
Secondary = 1080psf, 23.98
FCP video output settings = 720p, 23.98That should do it. I had a similar project not too long ago. Don’t have a deck to test it with right now. But it worked fine.

you have tri sync running to both K3 and D5?
