    Hi

As I’ve been discussing with the guys over on the Color forum – We’re looking to set up a dedicated HD grading suite using Color and FCP studio 2 here in the UK

Many people have recommended the Kona3 card as the must have i/o device. We’re using an assortment of blackmagic decklinks in the rest of our FCP suites – which have been largely faultless to date. Which brings me to my question. If we have media captured SD or HD uncompressed 8 or 10 bit on our BM FCP systems; can we take this media straight over to our theoretical Kona3 HD Color suite. Are there any issues with the relative codecs and capture processes of the BM and Kona systems. In short will we be able to play media from one system on another?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Mark

The Only NON Apple codec supported within Color is the AJA 10bit codec

it is not supported on any other card.
